Bad Bunny halftime show: best part of telecast so far. This program somehow slipped through the MAGA brain-rot, obey-in-advance sensors.

Trappist monks have been the ferments guys to track, for the last 500 years.
RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."

NBC really hitting it out of the park with 5 hrs of talking head, pregame Super Bowl coverage and an interview with Dear Leader instead of, say, the Winter Olympics.

Terrifying. One very late, cold night in 1986, when I was a junior at Michigan, I found a kid passed out in the snow near the School of Ed. He came to when I shook him. I finally made out where he lived through the slurring, got him there, never saw him again.

Woman two rows back at mass today with a singing voice that was a dead ringer for Kirsty Maccoll’s. Turned out to be the priest’s sister.

Just as in the 2010s we discovered that crowd-sourcing apps had to be manipulated by actual humans with discernment lest the #1 Yelp recommendation in every city be Applebees. Wisdom of the crowd turned out to be regression to the mean.

Country Music Hall of Fame has an outstanding LA country music scene exhibit up right now which includes the Nudie suits the Burritos are wearing on this album cover.
On this day in 1969, The Flying Burrito Brothers fused country rock with every other style of American music. The Gilded Palace Of Sin. #MusicSky

As a teacher, school head, and now consultant who does a dozen school admin placements a yr, I have written/spoken/read/heard thousands of recommendations and references and never encountered a description of a candidate’s appearance. My career began in 1990. Jeezus!
I have been writing letters of recommendation for just shy of thirty years— 17 students this year alone— in ratios that more or less track the majority-women population of liberal arts students.

Obviously I have never commented on a student's looks... and no recipient has ever called me to ask.

I love rock and roll stories. Heard this one recently: Blondie’s Clem Burke says he overplayed an early take, mostly fills, just goofing, and that’s the one they recorded.

Deepest apologies from the State of Missouri. Schmitt is a pro at these kinds of stunts.
Schmitt: "Your words that don’t mean anything aren't going to stop what’s coming, and I want you to take that back to Soros and all these ridiculous funders you have. Because justice is coming. And by the way, if I have it my way, we will be denaturalize all these fraudsters and send them home."

Our founders, though deeply flawed, understood that democracy requires an informed citizenry and a government accountable to it people. That’s why the press is the only profession protected by the Constitution. It’s also why autocrats and oligarchs seek to control and destroy it.
