Everton FC. Music lover and vinyl collector from the Republic of Walney. Prefer seeing gigs at small venues. Love to travel, particularly in the USA.

We saw Bob Dylan in Glasgow last night. Bob and his band were on top form.

One of my favourite guitarists. Micky Butler introduced me to Ry Cooder via this album.
Mick, we never managed to catch up. RIP mate, your musical taste was second to none.

I'd love to have seen Johnny Cash live

I can't praise this album highly enough. Tom Russell is a fantastic songwriter.
Check this out if you've never heard it.

Oh silliness. my mother has texted me a photo from a movie she is watching, an obvious bedroom scene - so she can point out the age of the pattern in the quilt.

Lowell George sadly passed away a couple of months after releasing his debut solo album. A supremely talented musician.

Heartbeats accelerating by Kate and Anna McGarrigle. Wonderful music.
Kate was the mother of Rufus and Martha Wainwright.

Billion dollar babies by Alice Cooper was one of the first albums that I bought. I have been through a few copies now.
Any other fans?

I'm playing the USA release tonight. I know it's more like a compilation and I know the original UK release is better but it took me years to find a decent copy so I'm proudly playing this one.

The Pogues best album imho. Critics generally rank Rum sodomy and the lash as their best but I prefer the raw sound of this banger.
Thoughts?

John Glascock made his Tull debut on this album. Probably the best bassist that played with them.
One of my favourite Tull albums.
Any other fans?

This is Richard Smith. He probably wouldn't want you sharing this everywhere. It's him striking a poor horse over the head with a riding crop at the weekend.

I must say, I do like the fact that our stadium is to be officially known as Everton Stadium for Euro 28.
If all goes well, expect to see the stadium becoming a possibility for European club finals.
All stakeholders need to come together on transport now - that is essential.

Sickening footage of South Durham Huntsman Richard Smith hitting a poor horse on the head as the hunt master Rob Wilkinson seemingly finds it all rather amusing.
