My patients live at the margins of society. They don’t have much. Just getting to dialysis three times a week is a big ask. Taking from them to fund tax breaks for the rich is just cruel.

So thankful to the work being done at NIDDK led by Dr. Rob Star. He gave an excellent presentation to the AKF Board of Directors today updating on their progress. We’ve got to make sure the great work being done at NIH isn’t halted for the sake of disruption and disruption alone.
