This pup found a stick shaped like an old timey pipe earlier today and has already solved three mysteries. 13/10

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 38 “The Abominable Snowmen” Sept-Nov ‘67. There’s no snow, but this is still brilliant. 12 year old me read the novel over and over again, just about old enough to remember the Yeti from when I was tiny.
So glad at least one episode survives.

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 37 “Tomb of the Cybermen” Sept ‘67. Marvellous, simply marvellous! As with “Moonbase” the book cover confused Target fan-me in the seventies. But oh, the Cybercontroller! Cybermats! Just wonderful. So glad the missing episodes turned up.

I’ve had a great time watching the telly. Happy 100th birthday. Really enjoyed Doctor Who, everything Gerry Anderson did, Stranger Things, Top of the Pops, Dad’s Army, Twin Peaks, Star Trek (All of it), Clangers, the Weather and the Sex Pistols swearing on Bill Grundy.

I’ve been watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 36 “Evil of the Daleks” May-Jul ‘67. I’ve read both of the novelisations, listened to Tom’s
narrated audio, watched the recon, the animation, Nick Scovell’s stage play and saw it on TV as a child.
It is simply superb. Just wonderful.

Yesterday I cleared the rather overgrown grave of Rev John Smith (Died 1870) rector of St Mary’s Baldock. John was the first person to decode the entire diaries of Samuel Pepys.
150 years earlier, Pepys was himself a regular visitor to Baldock.

Star Trek is wonderful.
All of it.

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 35 “The Faceless Ones” Apr-May ‘67.
Ben and Polly make it back home and Pauline Collins nearly joins the TARDIS. This rewatch is really bringing home quite how many episodes are still sadly missing.
Nice bit of plane-spotting fun.

Optimism, bravery, humour, collaboration and full spread photon torpedoes: It’s everything you could want. Loved it.
Hurray for Star Trek!

Enjoyed Star Trek. It was fun.

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 34 “The Macra Terror” Mar-Apr ‘67. Crazy music, enormous monsters and fab gear fashions in space.
I loved this. As with most of this season, such a shame that only snippets survive. Quite, quite bonkers, this one. Enjoyed it!

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 33 “The Moonbase” Feb-Mar ‘67.
So grateful that at least some episodes still exist from this season, as this is a belter. The Cybermen are back and upgraded. Smashing base-under-siege tale.
Loving this era so much. Wish more had survived!

Dexter Fletcher should be the next Doctor Who.
He would be superb.
I’m actually right in this. He’d be perfect.

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 32 “The Underwater Menace” Jan/Feb ‘67. Another story that Our Elders used to tell us was rubbish until another episode resurfaced (!) and it turned out to be great fun. Yet again, the Doctor spends most of it dressing up. Fish People superb, too!

Our church in the snow on Monday. Goodbye Christmas. We’re leaving the crib in the church up until Candlemas, but everything else is packed away now.

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 31 “The Highlanders” Dec ‘66 - Jan ‘67. The Doctor spends the first half in drag and Jamie joins at the end. Jamie doesn’t really have much to do in this. Polly and Ben are great in this. I wonder if it’ll ever turn up one day?

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 30 “The Power of the Daleks” Nov-Dec ‘66. Absolute corker. Pat Troughton makes you believe he is the Doctor. The Daleks are scheming, devious and scary. The music is superb and the script just sparkles. Superb!

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 29 “The Tenth Planet” Oct ‘66. I’ve loved this story since I read the Target in the seventies. The Cybermen are creepy and yet pitiful. Fabulous moment: the Doctor regenerates.
Just brilliant. So, so good.
Crumbs- that’s Hartnell done!
Pat next!

I once sold Pat Sharp a packet of Polo mints.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I’m watching Doctor Who again from the beginning. No 28 “The Smugglers” Sept-Oct 66. I only know this from the recon, having not read the novel.
I think it might have been great fun in the original format.
Crumbs, only one more Hartnell to go after this!

I am not a toy, I am not a fashion statement, I am a little green blob in bonded polycarbide armour. Please think twice before giving a Dalek this Christmas.
