Elon Musk says he’ll take a million people to Mars as backup against the collapse of civilisation - while he’s installing politicians who’ll kill net zero: Trump, Advance UK (after Reform UK), AfD. What's going on?

They didn’t question why Musk, the EV guy, backed a climate change liar for President.

Why he said vote Reform UK & AfD when they too will kill net zero.

Or notice how DOGE threats led the FAA to clear his exploding Starships for launch.

Or that Musk fell out with Trump over who is NASA Director.
Trump questions if NATO allies would help the US - we already did when the US invoked Article 5 after 9-11.

Trump then says soldiers from the UK stayed behind the lines - more than 400 died fighting alongside the US in Afghanistan. ⬇️

We are allies and remember the US soldiers who died in WW1 & 2.
Donald Trump's vile insult to 400 British soldiers killed in Afghanistan
Donald Trump says the US has been treated "unfairly" by NATO - and made a shocking claim about the soldiers sent by the UK and other nations to help them in their war in Afghanistan

🚨WOW! Now closing on 88,000 signatures! The Petition calling for by-elections to be called automatically when MPs defect to another party is getting so close to the 100,000 needed.

Let’s keep going!

I read George Orwell’s 1984 when I was a kid and found the telescreens that were televisions that spied on people in their own homes far-fetched.

But now people have smart TVs and Alexa.

Amazon has made its video doorbell feeds available to ICE. ⬇️

And Alexa?

This may be another TACO moment. ⬇️

But the suggestion elsewhere of giving Trump bases on Greenland designated as US territory is surely absurd, whatever assurances are given.

Russia’s bases in Crimea enabled its annexation. And Trump says Ukraine has no cards, despite the Budapest Memorandum.

The @data.ft.com reckons the allure of Greenland to Trump is its disproportionate size in map projections. ⬇️

If only Trump had a globe to look at.

Trump withdrew the US from 66 international organisations, treaties and conventions on January 07, 2026.

He withdrew from the Paris Agreement on his first day in office.

This provides a ready-made framework to isolate and contain Trump’s rogue nation, starting with tariffs and climate change.

Good analysis on Trump’s latest comments on Greenland. ⬇️

Even if Trump is appearing to rule out force, he is capable of misdirection.

Remember, Trump made disparaging comments about the B2 and its stealth technology when in Qatar in May 2025, before using them to bomb Iran the following month.
Attn news commentators: Trump saying he could use force to obtain Greenland but won’t is not Trump saying he won’t use force to obtain Greenland. It is Trump using force as a threat to obtain Greenland. That is why he mentions it.

Trump’s “Board of Peace” seems to be shaping up as the modern Axis on which he wants the world to turn.

Perhaps the Allies can use existing structures of NATO and the UN to isolate and contain his ridiculous regime, particularly as the US withdraws.

Canada is planning resistance forces to counter a US invasion as the Mujahedeen did in Afghanistan. ⬇️

Nobody in the media is talking about Trump trying to create the Technate of America. He will face a struggle that will eventually undo his Empire as the British Empire and all before it collapsed.

What can the rest of the world do when Trump does not respect international law and has withdrawn the US from many international organisations?

There is your answer.

Use those organisations to isolate and contain his ridiculous regime.

For example, on tariffs and climate change…

Today is the 83rd anniversary of the bombing of Sandhurst Road School.

My father, Eric, survived the bombing and is still with us. His sister, Kitty, was killed at 13.

As fascism rolls across the US and NATO teeters, remember the Americans who joined us in defeating the Nazis.

Bizarre!

BBC News is reporting on Trump suddenly turning 180 degrees over the Chagos Islands deal he approved last year.

The BBC questions the health of the “special relationship”.

They didn’t report Trump’s other midnight posts and question his mental health. ⬇️

This is so far beyond normal now.
America, your President is having a mental breakdown.

These are posts from his Truth Social account.

He’s destroying the NATO alliance with AI photos showing him occupying Greenland and ridiculing European leaders.

And ends diplomatic candour by sharing screenshots of messages from world leaders.

I don’t really agree with @anneapplebaum.bsky.social here.

Musk put Trump in the White House for a reason. He is pursuing the Technate of America.

Musk and Peter Thiel lobbied Trump to appoint JD Vance as running mate for when Trump falls.

Musk’s deranged endgame is explained in post 2.

It seems like we’ve reached peak Farage.

The comments I’ve read on this Daily Mail report about Jenrick defecting to Reform UK are overwhelmingly disgusted at the party’s transformation into the Tory B team.

Supporters are saying they will no longer vote Reform. Members are resigning.

It looks like Trump has blown his chance of receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in the future. What a strategic genius he isn’t.

There’s no way the Nobel Committee could give it to him now, even if he solved Gaza, Ukraine and backed down on invading Greenland.
Good morning.

I have been arguing for months that there should be more strategic thinking over tariffs.

Instead of responding to Trump’s use of tariffs to bully friend and foe, coordinate to use them to isolate and contain Trump and his ridiculous regime.

Here’s the map that explains Trump’s expansion north and south - he is constructing the Technate of America, a self-sufficient and impregnable territory.

Some are egging on the UK Prime Minister and other NATO members to threaten to expel US bases if Trump pursues his takeover of Greenland.

We may even reach that point.

If we do, the loudest cheers will come from Putin.

Best to go the TACO route first - and then take the initiative like this ⬇️.

Trump is softening people up before actively pursuing his 51st state policy.

Anyone who thinks that is bluff should look up the Technate of America. It’s a step towards Musk’s Mars fantasy, the reason Musk backed Trump.
January 19, 2026 at 6:40 AM
Newt Gingrich is wrong to say Trump Is bluffing to achieve lesser goals regarding mineral rights, etc.

Trump may be forced to back down and will claim that was his plan all along, but he is serious.

Look up the Technate of America. It’s a step towards Musk’s Mars fantasy, why he backed Trump.
