This is simultaneously interesting, predictable, and depressing. Aligns with my thoughts that the "higher skilled" people in a field aren't losing work (yet), but the problem is: you don't get to that stage without the lower skilled/lower paid work first. That step is being removed from the ladder.

This time, when Tristan grasped the latch and pulled, the door swung wide, and then fell off its hinges into the dirt. It felt like the old fridge had been waiting for just that moment.
The thing crouched inside grinned into the light and slowly untangled itself to stand.

Christchurch! Please email your local councillor to let them know how much our small community libraries are valued. They are not, as our mayor describes them, “just a building with some books in it.” The council is considering closing small libraries to cut costs. Please share.
