Trailfinders v Quins living up to expectations! Abi Burton excelling with ball in hand, Cromack doing a lot of good things at 10 for Quins. A monster tackle just now by Sarah Parry.

Oh, and Ellie Kildunne has somehow managed to get Rachel Malcolm involved in some niggle.

12-10 at half time.

PWR back at last!

TraIlfinders/Quins should be a great match. For me, Trailfinders should have the edge in the forwards, with their three Black Ferns, and Quins should have the edge in the backs. Quins seemed to have deleveloped a winning knack in the first part of the season, so I think them by 5.

20 years!

Extraordinary service to women’s rugby.
1/ I can’t believe it has been 20 years. Starting this "blog" in 2006 led to a global brand, so many new friends, and a front-row seat to the growth of women’s rugby.

To celebrate, we are launching the 10K March with our partners at Booshie! 🧵

Not often that I get to boast about the theatre of footballing dreams that is Cambridge United. But here we go - 13 matches unbeaten and counting - the longest unbeaten run in the top 4 divisions of English football this season. Eat our shorts, Arsenal!

Why Celtic Challenge may not be an appealing enough competition for Ireland players

Let's use this last day of the year to make a small #TestRugby wrapped.

This year we had 112 tests. That's the biggest number ever and only the 3rd time there's more than 100.

The other 2 years with more than a hundred test where 2022 and 2024 both with 101.

In September 2024, rugby fans woke up to the news that the Ireland had beaten New Zealand. Many were shocked to discover that this wasn't the first time the Irish women's team had achieved the feat.

While Kildunne deserves recognition Hannah Botterman is absolutely robbed here.

Apart from being England’s most influential player she also maxed out on personality during the World Cup.

Some PWR stattery as we pass the quarter-way mark in the season.

Distinguishing features for Saracens:
- mean defence (lowest points and tries conceded per match, by a wide margin)
- offload queens, with Poppy Cleall and Marlie Packer's 33 almost equal to the team total for Sale Sharks.

GB7s Women’s squad is almost entirely changed from last season. Practically all the players are U20s with only two experienced players. No Scots involved. Lambs to the slaughter, I’m afraid.

(But from an engineer's point of view, great to see her returning to Mechanical Engineering).
