Rugby union has a reputation for being 'posh', by why exactly does that stereotype exist and how true is it?

I recently managed to get my hands on this very cool WRFU jersey (complete with original mud!) signed by the one and only Delyth Morgan. You may be wondering “what on earth is the WRFU?!?”

In case you missed it, yesterday I posted my latest article 'Why is Rugby Union Posh?'. It is a look at the middle-class roots of rugby union in England and a brief look at class and rugby union in the wider rugby world

Loughborough Lightning were giving out trading cards at their game today and I managed to get mine signed by Alev Kelter herself. Very excited to get this up on the wall!

Jackie McCarthy-O’Brien was one of the early Irish women’s rugby internationals after switching codes in her thirties. 13 caps each in football and rugby union at a time when international fixtures were hard to come by!

Another day, another new design! This time I’ve made it available as a hoodie and a print just in case! (I’m partial to the hoodie with the back print myself)

With less than 48 hours to go until the 2025 Rugby World Cup Final, I thought it would be apt to have a look back at the previous 9 WRWC finals!

- Nine finals
- Nine locations
- Four finalists
- Three winners

Hollie Davidson will become the second referee in history to officiate two Rugby World Cup finals and the first to do so in the women’s competition!

The other is of course André Watson who refereed the men’s 1999 and 2003 editions.

I’m extremely thankful to have been able to watch Canada book themselves a place in next weeks final in person tonight. Of course, it seems apt to plug my previous article about Canada and how they’re succeeding against all odds.

At the 1994 Women’s Rugby World Cup in Scotland, France recorded a 99-0 win over Japan. Twenty-one years later this is still France’s biggest ever win.

They are 47 minutes into their game against Brazil and are already winning 58-0.

I’m on a bit of a “go slow” at the moment as I’m travelling every weekend for the World Cup but I love to know what you would prefer to see next. My thoughts are:

- The rise, fall and rise again of Irish Women’s Rugby

- Why rugby is so posh
