I just wanted to put that somewhere, outside of my brain. I have so much frustration for care and medicine that is available and ready in this country but is gatekept. To deny healthcare to my kid…if you have kids you know, and if you have a heart you can imagine

(4) I do not fault his doctor, but am just at a loss as to what is happening. My son has been regularly prescribed meds din r birth and we have never had an issue like this, it feels like the fabric of the system is just falling apart.

(3) We have spent hours every business day for the past 2 weeks or so talking in circles with everyone involved…just to get a prescription though. This is America.

(2)He is 2 weeks off of it now due to our insurance issuing a prior authorization and then said authorization after being submitted being lost in some weird black hole of insurance/doctor/hospital/pharmacy insanity.

All I want for Christmas is for the only medication that has ever really worked on my son’s condition to be able to be administered.

I love where I live. I also miss actual snow during winter. The midwesterner that still lives inside quietly craves a bitter cold morning scraping your windshield and digging your car out with whatever you can manage. I miss the community that these shared struggles create too.
