Heard about this before… and I’m sure I could sleep like this.
For those whose sleep is negatively impacted by the seasonal changes of the clock - might biphasic sleeping be of any assistance? @drpam outlines evidence that suggests this might be a more natural way to sleep.
Getting back to sleep: understanding biphasic normality
Can some previously little-known information about our ancestors’ sleeping patterns help us to better understand modern insomnia?

The current U.K. government is such a disappointing shit show, and what this woman describes is tragic. Aaah!
I want to explain a few things and then it might be clearer why UK trans people are upset.
In 2001 I married my wife, Sylvia.
In 2005 I started medical transition. (1/13)

When anti-terror laws were introduced, opponents said they'd abused.

Making Palestine Action a terrorist organisation akin to ISIS is deranged behaviour.

History will damn how opponents of genocide were branded terrorists, while war criminals were armed and feted.

Agree. I feel total despair looking at Izreal killing with impunity because they’re playing narcissistic political games. Who will ever stop them?
Daniel Levy: "Israel has gone so far past that line of what's legal internationally that one can only look in despair at the unwillingness of those who claim to uphold the international legal system to actually challenge these ongoing illegal actions"

“She sheds boyfriends like snakes shed their skin,” he says.
Debra pauses and sighs. Should she point out his double standards?
Their daughter, sitting at the counter, lifts her head from her book. “I Talking of sheds, shouldn’t you go spend some time in yours.”

A shape has layers of being. Take a square,
at first a mere quadrilateral with four sides.
Later add corners,
and four equal sides.
Later still a square is a rectangle,
but not all rectangles are squares.
Whereas I am a squiggly line
On the right side of the page.

Skipping through the just watered grass barefoot, she dances on the hot concrete, till she finds her abandoned flip flops and slips them on. Then she squints at her hand, her palm pink one side, her skin brown on the other. She is four. In this moment, she knows she is other.

I’ve been seeing these #Vss365 things recently. It took me a while to find out what it was and where to get the prompt (Septimus Brown until June 15), but it’s fun. Photos, poetry, six word stories, or micro-fiction. It’s all honing your writing craft, surprisingly fun and HARD.

“Where? How? Can we afford them?”

My son lifts the left shoe first, a look of ecstasy stretched across his face.

That one lay in the middle of the road like a sick joke: a single Nike Air Jordan Retro High. I found the second one, still on the owner’s foot. He didn’t need them anymore.

Very late on my May reads. Raced through Bloodmarked despite having almost pretty much forgotten what happened in Legendborn, but it was so good I didn’t even notice all the extra stuff until I was half way through. How to die famous really made me think about my lowkey obsession about 1/2
