Oh hey a video I edited
Destiny used to be against vaccines, wondering if they caused her chronic condition.

Eventually she realized that much of what she had heard was wrong, and she changed her mind.

Hey, a video I edited.
"You can't imagine how tiring it was."

Jason talks about when he got HPV-related cancer, and why you should prevent it.

If you have a professor/teacher who impacted you in a positive way, send them a short email and let them know and tell them what you’re doing these days.

Teaching can be a thankless and exhausting job but one note can energize an educator for a year.

I once saw a pre-op nurse preparing a patient for surgery with a Doctor named Michael Jordan.

When the nurse was asked if the doctor was good, he replied “oh yeah, he’s like the Patrick Ewing of surgery.”

One of the funniest lines I ever heard.

Sad that meteorologists have entered the "getting death threats because disinformation about your job has been politically weaponized" club.
Vitriol is being directed at meteorologists. “I’ve been doing this for 46 years and it’s never been like this,” says Alabama meteorologist James Spann. He says he’s been “inundated” with misinformation and threatening messages like “Stop lying about the government controlling the weather or else.”

It's their job to warn residents about destructive storms — but political polarization has made them targets online.

After "inviting" vaccine scientist Peter Hotez in a tweet, summit organizer Jay Bhattacharya retweeted a bunch of weird conspiracy theories about Hotez + Covid vaccines & targetting him for abuse. From this statement, it appears Stanford's President would blame *Hotez* for refusing to participate.

The new President of Stanford promised to protect academic freedom. I wrote about how he has broken that promise by giving opening remarks at a conference featuring speakers who led attacks on researchers at Stanford, particularly the Stanford Internet Observatory.

For those curious, the President's remarks at the summit have been published here. They address none of my concerns and seem to chastise faculty who refused to engage with people who have relentlessly harassed their colleagues. Shameful.
