Schools have no clue how many students are living under the threat of deportation for themselves and/or their immediate families. We have no way to collect this data or to address the issues that arise when students live in fear of their worlds being torn apart.

And it’s a massive problem.

was recently asked, "what are you grateful for?" and it made me really uncomfortable to think of a response-- there is so much to be grateful for, but those are often results of privilege AND there are people thriving without the things I'm grateful for.
