First light? The LAT M1 mirror exposed to the sky for the first time in Chile after opening the shipping box. If the weather cooperates it could be installed in the telescope today. #cosmology @simonsobs.bsky.social

WISE is now in a 196x203 km orbit - just below 200 km!
It hasn't much more time.
The HgCdTe detectors worked great until we stopped observing at the end of July, and all the spacecraft systems were working when we turned off the transmitters on 8 Aug.
'Twas a great robot observatory for 14.7 years.
