From last week arXiv!
Check our new paper (with @rafalafelo.bsky.social) on how Cosmological Gravitational Waves could correlate with Large-Scale Structures, and its potential synergies with Primordial non-Gaussianity.

Imprints of Large-Scale Structures in the Anisotropies of the Cosmological Gravitational Wave Background
We compute the cross-correlation between the anisotropies of the cosmological gravitational wave background (CGWB) and the galaxy density contrast. We show that the cross-correlation is non-zero due t...

En Chile, ahora la cámara del Observatorio Verá Rubin abrió sus ojos. Es un momento histórico
Eye to the sky…on-sky engineering tests have begun at NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory using the world’s largest digital camera! 🔭🧪

After installing and testing the LSST Camera, we turned the telescope to the sky—a moment 20 years in the making!

With that, Rubin #CommissioningNotes are back ✍️

The current situation for international Fulbrighters right now. This is an amazing program that has enabled significant advancements in astronomy in both Chile and the US. I hope they don't end it 🙏

Regarding the cuts to the science budget in the US, I wanted to highlight Chilean universities that offer graduate studies in astronomy. Because Chile will host 60% of the world’s ground-based telescopes by the end of the decade, they are leading many important research projects.
