Australians pay more in HECS than gas companies pay in PRRT... in Western Australia, drivers pay more rego than gas pays royalties, and gamblers in WA pay more tax from gambling than gas does from royalties - Greg Jericho.

Agree. The thing is, even if they do leave you haven’t lost much. They don’t pay their fair share of taxes and they hoard money and don’t put it back into the economy. No great loss IMO.
Every country has a powerful right wing that argue “if you tax the wealthy, they’ll leave”
We need to start calling their bluff.
We need to make it so the ultra wealthy either contribute enough to be a positive part of society, or be globally shunned and unable to extract further funds from us.
