Elon Musk has committed a blatant felony by offering money for votes in order to help Brad Schimel. This is a chainsaw attack on democracy and the rule of law. Musk should be brought to justice immediately. 🧵

Scoop: The Washington Post recently—and quietly—removed its "Democracy Dies in Darkness" slogan from the opening sequence of its app, a notable change given Jeff Bezos once insisted it always appear alongside the logo. It also no longer appears atop its mobile site. www.status.news/p/washington...
Democracy Dies in the Light
The Post’s slogan hasn’t died in darkness, but with Jeff Bezos trying to steer the newspaper in a new direction, it is taking a noticeable step back from the spotlight.

A doctor has been serving one of Baltimore’s poorest neighborhoods for decades — and if his patients can’t pay, that’s OK with him.

So when he was diagnosed with cancer, his community rallied to raise $100,000 for his treatments.
For decades, a doctor refused to charge patients who couldn't pay. When he couldn't pay, his patients came to his aid.
When Dr. Michael Zollicoffer was diagnosed with two types of cancer, his patients started a crowdfunding campaign that raised more than $100,000.

I see tomorrow is Friday.

Is Friday going a tariff day, or a some-tariffs day, or a no-tariffs day?

Or will it be some other kind of day, like an annex-Greenland day, or a Hannibal-Lecter-wants-to-have-you-for-dinner day, or an Arnold-Palmer-size day, or something else?

I just can’t keep track.

Hey everyone! I decided to take my frustration over the current mess in the US and created an #etsy shop. Doom scrolling was getting to me and if it's getting to you, check out my designs! It's my first foray into creating designs and I am open to feedback. #legal #designs #lawyers #jurisdoctor

I salute the federal workers who chose to quit Elon Musk's illegal DOGE operation rather than participate in the dismantling of vital government agencies.

They represent the best of our civil servants: dedicated, nonpartisan individuals committed to serving the American people.
DOGE workers quit, refuse to "dismantle public services" on Musk's orders
"We will not lend our expertise to carry out or legitimize DOGE's actions," they wrote in a letter.
