It’s a 5th in 2026 and 7th in 2027 to MIN, while PHI Howell and 6th in 2026. Minnesota, which recently hosted Carson Wentz on a visit, now has a QB opening. And Philly gets more QB depth.

If you told me in April that the Phillies would be clinging to a 1/2 game lead over the Mets at the AS Break, I’d be a bit surprised, but only because I had expected the Mets to hold a slight lead.
Now, if you told me that the Marlins were in 3rd place? I would’ve accused you of blasphemy.

I’ll take this mindset even further, if we don’t resign Schwarber and don’t get some new corner outfielders, expect a Braves/Orioles type of collapse.
It’s almost impossible to imagine a scenario where the Phillies aren’t significantly worse next year if Kyle Schwarber is elsewhere.
