It’s also weird that this month marks the 250th anniversary of the first shots of the American Revolution- a conflict largely caused by tarrifs (and aggravated by a dispute over the Canadian border)
It’s weird* that the president can just decide to put a huge tax on American businesses without congress even being a little bit involved.

The lack of resilience management in the UK is an absolute disgrace. Critical infrastructure and public services have never recovered from austerity. Pre 2010 the level of planning for such events was world leading. I’m so saddened at what we have lost as I’m sure my former colleagues are
