Would agree. Just watched the final on TV and mystified by the expert pundit Thought I’d seen a different game at Wembley.First 1/2 hour Sheffutd were on top after that it’s us. How you come to a conclusion that you’d wonder “what the hell just happened” They were hanging on for the last 15 minutes

As a neighbourhood police officer at the outset of surestart, it was obvious to the police the benefits surestart would deliver even then at those early stages. An act of criminal negligence to abandon it and sheer incompetence not to reintroduce it sooner

Potential breach of the peace. The question for the officers attending would be who is actually disturbing the kings peace- the irate gender critic or the distraught toilet user and is there a likely hood of a further breach. If a breach is occurring or likely to occur the officer can arrest

I don’t think a public toilet is a safe place by the very nature of it being public. It’s somewhere you can expect privacy but absolute safety I’d suggest not.

Thought Harriet Harman’s comments were interesting as this reinforced my original understanding of the Equality Act and the proportional exclusion of Trans women from certain women’s places at certain times. I’ve been confused by the ruling of the SC as it doesn’t clarify what a safe place is

My point was specific to the comment made by the Equalities minister, not the SC judgement which I can assure you I have read.

Is a supervisory officer of the rank of sergeant who has to authorise a strip search. The necessity and proportionality of the use of such a power has to be recorded in the custody record. The identity of the officers and who else was present would also be re recorded. Forsee a few complaints!

Commentator on sky is not very good. Reckons that would be a 3 game ban. Besides it probably being rescinded it would only be a one game ban surely for a professional foul

ECHR is a government quango and has no legal powers. The human rights you enjoy at the moment are ultimately protected by legislation upheld in courts in Strasbourg. Hence the pressure from the right to withdraw from this as it’s the one thing we have left
