I'm all about sharing racist to screenshots, but I draw the line at clicking on the video to see what the video is actually selling.

It's a gambit. Perhaps they miscalculated - they're going to underestimate the revulsion to racism just as much as we are going to overestimate it.

But there's no way that the dance that everyone on the left is doing right now is not the exact dance that they hoped for when they ran this.
No way this conversation didn't happen:

MILLER: we got this nice video about how the dems stole the election, how do we get the dems and all the media to propagate it for us?

BANNON: what's the most racist thing you can think of short of the n-word?

MILLER: oh I got just the thing

I know I sometimes give NYT a pass, but this is just a massive fail.

It's just so hard to believe that Trump would weaponize anti-racist moral outrage to deliver a massive payload of election disinformation.

lol. Strava-stalking the ICE baddies
In one of videos, Sveum mentioned enjoying our running trails, which led us to find his Strava account. His account was public (no longer), so we can see he was talking about the Des Plains River Trail and he stayed at the Lincolnshire Marriott.

We only found this after he left Chicago. But...

Just a big shout out to all the great people who loudly cancelled their subscriptions because they ran some opinion pieces by @mcmegan.bsky.social y'all showed Jeff real good
My story on Elon Musk cutting safeguards at xAI is on the front page of today's @washingtonpost.com. I’m also among 100’s of reporters laid off. I absolutely loved my job my brilliant coworkers & the thrill of reporting @ the center of forces upending the world: AI & Silicon Valley’s political power

Yesterday WaPo ran a piece on DHS abuse of administrative subpoenas and also a piece describing how Sam Darnold needs to be more Trent Dilfer.

In response to news that WaPo is cutting their sports desk, Bluesky is naturally tut-tutting around claiming this proves Bezos is all-in MAGA.

Let's go
News from central Jersey: I'm running to represent New Jersey's 12th Congressional District.

By entering the fray, I hope to bring ideas of repairing our frayed republic. Not only to defend it in 2026, but to build something stronger, for generations to come!

Yeah, people have wondered about Brock Pierce for years

Yeah, anyone with eyes had questions

But a small team of journalists exposed this cryptocurrency billionaire for the scumbag he is by scouring the Epstein Files for a few days, writing, editing, and publishing an article

Anything is possible

It’s impossible for Brock Pierce to distance himself from Jeffrey Epstein. The pair's legacies will be tied together forever.

The one good thing I want to do with prediction markets is drain liquidity from Elon Musks enablers by betting against his moronic predictions.

But other than that...

Call me unc but I always understood the point of large scale protest and civil resistance to be forcing them to take their pound of flesh, perhaps this includes taking a picture of your face.
“Opsec” as understood on the movement left invariably means “taking efforts to remain anonymous and ensure no one can see what you’re saying and who you are.” But these efforts are illusory and completely corrosive to the goal of public resistance and open organizing.
Hi Will - apologies if you've addressed this in detail previously, but is your criticism of opsec primarily about protesters not wanting to be filmed, the use of certain tools giving them a false sense of security, or something else?

How many people are saying this? I can't really tell from the video.

Lots of unhappiness about the broken window of a federal building in Eugene.
Although the fact that video shows the window was broken by *federal agents*, not the “rioters” doesn’t get mentioned until the 6th paragraph!
Burying the lede
Did Donald Trump mention Eugene's protest at the Federal Building?
Trump blamed local police for damage to the Eugene Federal Building on his social media platform.

I'm pretty sure his signaling this is a feature (not a bug) of Republicans electoral strategy in the future. In Thomas Schelling terms, he's established a credible commitment to a destructive threat.
yeah i am not too worried about the midterms but i am fairly confident he is not leaving without bloodshed

Remembering how mortified part of the Christian Right was 40 years ago, that ever present fear that if you cross a Satan follower the wrong way you were going to get brutal mobbed by legions of demons.

Idk maybe there's some lulz in there we could bring back.
Was that the New Agey one with the Jonas spirit guide/demon? Frank Peretti had every pastor in the 90's claiming a demon made their car stall in front of the same pornography store every week.
