Minnesota in the spring is devastatingly beautiful. I am thankful to have left Texas every second.

I immediately do not trust a medical professional who writes/spells it “HIPPA”.

All the hate and “she can’t really cook” energy toward Meghan Markle needs to be doubled and handed over to Half Baked Harvest because what the fuck

Trying to feel normal- the first time I’ve baked since the election. I’ve just been in such a funk, but it brought me such joy. Thinking of what to do next 💜 these are #glutenfree and #dairyfree cheesecake filled brioche buns from Loopy Whisk!

We need to take away the title of “doctor” from chiropractors. I’m tired of seeing DCs promote asinine health advice and people flock to it because they’re a “doctor”. That doctor has an associate’s degree and 3 extra years- a PhD in Philosophy has more education than these entitled fucks.

Met a former soldier from Ukraine. He said: U’s allies took too long sending aid, now they simply don’t have enough bodies to hold the weapons they’ve gotten. He reports men being kidnapped off the streets and being sent to fight, himself included. In their hearts, he said, they know Rus. has won.

The photo I want in future textbooks. We fought, and we fought hard- gee whiz!

We’re lowering costs for middle class families, which is why we were just ranked the second-best state to raise a family.

I was being offered 20% of my service fee by a potential employer. I found out he owns a 1.8 million dollar home- so that’s where my other 80% would go, I suppose. Decided not to participate in paying for that mortgage.

Your money, your time and your life are your votes, friends.

Protest with your pennies. Consume with discretion.

I’m tired of the working class being convinced by the 1% that they’re only worth $16/hour. When will we take back the means of production? When will we demand more? There is more to life than this.

#Minnesota is a blessing to be in. Here is a copy of a letter sent out today, 20 Jan 2025, from our local school district.

I would’ve never been sent something like this in Texas. Superintendent Unowsky hit the nail on the head today.

Having never seen The OC as a simple, infantile millennial- this podcast is still top notch and gets me through my sad, physician-mandated gym time.

(I only go to the gym to not have back pain. God, we’re old.)
Did you know that @nikostratis.com and I are hosting a recap show about The OC? It's called The OC, Again. Just to recap, it's a recap show about The OC. The first episode just came out.

I will eat my hat if TikTok is truly banned. There’s no way that Musk or Meta/Zuck will pass up an opportunity to continue to push propaganda to the American public. I’d put money on one of them purchasing it and it getting exponentially more fascist… as is tradition.

this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

Trying to place a hold on a sapphic book: a tale of 2 political climates. 51st in line in Minneapolis, no copies available to reserve at all in north Texas (where we were).

🧵 How do we know Trump is full of sh** when he shrieks about “hydrants running dry”?

Because in 2016, a horrendous wildfire hit Gatlinburg Tennessee.

Hydrants ran dry and 14 people died. A higher death toll than the LA Fires.

But Tennessee had a GOP governor, so newly-elected Trump posted:

So the question to ask is, “why would our freedom loving country care so much if I wanted to access information?” We care more about the freedom of speech (read: storytelling) and the freedom of semi-autos than the freedom of information and knowledge. How did we get here?
Now they're going after VPNs.

*Pay attention* to what's happening in places like Turkey, India, Russia and China — and how tech companies are complying, or not, with state surveillance. As we've seen in the past month, they'll do the same when prompted here.

The Laken Riley Act is a sweeping assault on legal immigration. It would subject immigrants *authorized to live and work here* to indefinite detention without a criminal conviction. And it would let a federal judge ban ALL visas from entire countries at a state's request. slate.com/news-and-pol...
This New Immigration Bill That’s About to Pass Is a Horrifying Trojan Horse
If Democrats cannot recover their nerve and stand up to this extremism, they will be complicit in the devastating consequences of its passage.

Annual winter weather events cost Texas approximately $750 million because of their inability to make their roads drivable in the event of… winter.

Let’s just start assuming snow and ice will happen, and then maybe figure out how to keep the state running and keep people safe on the roads? 1/2
