Often people need to be the smartest person in the room. It’s intimidating for most when you feel you are the least educated. Change the mentality. Welcome being around people more educated than you on any giving subject. It’s how you learn. It’s how we all learn. Welcome any education you can get.

In a settlement with four Republican-led states, the DHS has agreed to redesign its federal immigration database to serve voter “verification” purposes — a dramatic expansion of federal data that voting rights advocates have long warned could supercharge wrongful purges and threaten voter privacy.

Expiring ACA tax credits will hit small businesses especially hard. Meanwhile, 74% of small business owners are worried that their business won’t survive due to Trump’s tariffs.

Trump is crushing small businesses while doling out tax breaks to his big corporate donors.

Priorities.

Trickle down economics at its best….
Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?

Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay.

See the problem?

Most states do not require child care providers to receive formal training. Although a caregiver doesn’t need a degree to offer a warm and nurturing relationship, understanding child development is valuable for meeting children’s social, emotional, and cognitive needs effectively.

Quick share. In one of my courses this week the topic is Gender and Media. I came across this #LikeAGirl campaign video. At the 1:15 mark I lost it. They ask a young girl if “like a girl” was a good thing. Her answer was devastating to me. I realize this probably isn’t uncommon. youtu.be/dxrPeFKtUwQ

To understand any sort of inequality, we have to ask ourselves: What do we owe each other as members of the same society?

Showing emotion as a man is not a sign of weakness. In fact it’s the complete opposite. Compassion, empathy & caring for others make you a stronger man than this toxic short sided view of what a man is that a certain section of the population believes a man is. Showing emotions is healthy.

According to a new analysis by Democrats on the Joint Economic Committee, the average American family has paid more than $700 in higher costs per month since Trump took office.

Remember when Trump said he would end inflation on "day one"?

Universal healthcare is the only thing that can save our current healthcare system which is on the verge of collapse. I am not against still allowing for private insurance options either. Many of the countries that have universal healthcare systems still allow for private insurance as well.

The most popular Senate/House representative in the US is an independent democratic socialist. A lot of the country has already realized the current system is flawed, and Bernie finally got through to many and more and more by the day. Bernie isn’t perfect (no one is) but he tried to warn everyone.

AI could do a lot of good things. However it is now in the hands of unchecked billionaires and mega corporations. These data centers are going to be catastrophic on so many levels. Energy costs, environmental costs, privacy, etc.

There seriously needs to be more studies done on the psychology of politics in the United States. People continually vote against their own interests and support candidates who consistently make decisions that negatively affect them, showing cult-like devotion to obviously corrupt individuals.

In a time where historians and healthcare professionals are leaving the country, Dems still can’t stay united enough to even stand against authoritarianism and fascism. The Democratic Party is a joke. It needs to be gutted and rebuilt. If it isn’t to late. If we haven’t lost our country.

I know people on things like SNAP who were supportive of the Dems standing strong on the shutdown. Now they are wondering what this was even about now. Dems got literally nothing out of this except some moral stance (fake btw). This is all they seem to be good for.

These are the cowards that voted against the American people. These are the cowards that chose to embolden authoritarians and fascists. Even when democrats are winning they find a way to lose. This is also what happens with this big tent idea, there is no unity.
