everyone's doing their "10 media to get to know me" so here's 10 video games that had some form of impact on me
finally finished crime and punishment (V&P translation). there are some slow bits here and there, but overall I loved it. wish we got to see more of sonya outside of her being a pillar for rodion. porfiry is basically just columbo, which was great. really had me pondering the whole time, gr8 book.

Since we're sharing how placeholder art "actually looks like", here's mine for a current project.
This is actually progress for me, I had a habit of making finished-level art as needed in the past, wasting a lot of time once I didn't want that look anymore. I felt it motivated me better.

sequels are weird. i think the farther in you go the more fans will associate qualities that belong to you as an author to the one game/IP/series they enjoyed. becoming increasingly dependent on something that you may find no longer moves you is scary.

it's funny how 15 yrs ago most indie 3D games looked like early dreamcast titles and now that the standard look is hyper-realistic UE5 I've become almost nostalgic for that aforementioned janky 3D

As one of the five people who liked the orig Steam Controller, I am a bit bummed that the new one relegates the trackpads as this sort of secondary feature. Their height on the first SC made them a prominent input, and on the new one... it seems like you have to bend your fingers to use them.

my sister just made me watch twilight for the first time... it's good? this movie is pretty good? like, really fun and well-made aside from the moments where character go fast like sonic and get blurry, i cant find much to complain abt, visually. i get why ppl were so fckn enamored by it now.

been reading pedro paramo and gosh despite overall being a short read, that book is DENSE. honestly i'm surprised i like it... i feel like i should just find it OK compared to my usual tastes but, it's such a trip.
