Yes!
Remember that there is a legitimately elected president of Venezuela: Edmundo Gonzalez. He won the election in 2024.

And 50 years it will take to fix the system, and only if you find a younger generation dedicated to carry on a movement which will supersede their lifespans
For 50 years, the median wage of hourly workers stagnated or declined while the stock market and CEO pay skyrocketed.

Is it any wonder why so many feel abandoned by the system? People lose faith, and a demagogue fills the void.

This is why we must fix the system.

The challenges we now face must be met by a bold progressive populist movement that strengthens democracy and shakes up the system.

We can’t simply return to the path we were on before Trump.

We cannot accept the status quo of Big Money dominating our politics and economy.

Three million people live in Caracas, five million in the metro area. It's one of the densest cities in South America. Remember this in the morning when they try to spin this as anything other than a cold-blooded attack on a major civilian center.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

This is exactly what we’ve been dealing with for decades with our health insurance in the USA! Ridiculous!!! ⬇️

I did not understand this truth until recently!
Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Not that it's not appalling enough, but this is an official US Government post, paid for by our federal tax dollars.

Yesterday, Spc Sarah Becstrom was laid to rest in West Virginia at a VA National Cemetery.
Surprisingly none of the major major news media mention it. No flags were lower to half staff.
Well the Convicted FElon keeps the news focus on him.

Current US Policy:

If you’re suspected of trafficking a small amount of drugs with no evidence, we will murder you, but if you’re convicted of trafficking an enormous amount of drugs with copious evidence, we will pardon you. Because we are currently a very stupid country.

I know hypocrisy is a feature not a bug in this era but if the Chinese government said it had intel (which they refused to show or verify) on U.S. citizen criminals who were doing things that negatively impacted Chinese citizens so they did some targeted strikes on or right off american soil…
It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

Mr. Cohen, who’s writing style makes me believe he aced the LSAT, clearly hits the mark here⬇️
"Orders Without Honor"
A relentless look at the second strike, the lies that followed, and the pathetic political theater that proves this administration fears accountability more than any foreign enemy.

Bookmark this for the investigations to come: the Trump team’s boat bombings trace back to at least 2018. That’s when White House officials asked me & others about whether they could do something like this.

We said it was illegal then. Now they’ve done it anyway.

Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay.

See the problem?

My goodness, GOP, there were so many more qualified options for president. Is this man truly what you wanted? Really? And don’t ever tell me “it was the best we could do”, because I despise any response that accepts and aspires to mediocrity.
Donald Trump is a disgusting buffoon without a single redeeming quality.

I remain in total shock that this is the man so many did actually elect as president. He is obviously mentally unwell.
Piggy wishes everyone a happy Thanksgiving.

Of all the issues related to politics and our governance, rampant corporate greed ranks highest on my list of pet peeves and is likely the main source behind all of our societal ills⬇️
Tyson is closing a Nebraska plant that employs 3,200 workers in order to “right-size” its business.

The meatpacking giant paid its CEO $22.7M last year, 525x its median employee's pay.

It also spent $196M in stock buybacks to reward shareholders.

Textbook corporate greed.

Grift grift grift…again I implore Americans to wake up!! Pay attention to what is really happening here!!!! Trump does not care even a wee bit about our people!
Trump bought Boeing bonds while rewarding the company billions in federal contracts.

He bought Intel bonds after directing the government to acquire a stake in the company.

He bought Meta bonds while pushing AI-friendly policy.

Trump isn’t governing — he’s cashing in.
