Watched Sugarcane today. 2024 doc about St Joseph's Indian Residential School near Kamloops, BC. It won the directing award at Sundance and got an Oscar nom -- the first nom for a person indigenous to North America. It's tough to watch, but so so so good. Highly recommend it.

Chester went into the pond in the first five minutes, hasn't touched it in over an hour, and now that we're five minutes from me needing to wash him off and get in the car he's back in the pond 🤦♀️

Cleaned out the dog toy crate and found a torn up rope toy with moldy poop on it :666
But I now have a treats & food toys bin, a misc supplies bin, a cleaned out toy box with only intact toys, and a crate for the car with towels, portable water bowls, and extra leashes. 🎉

Watching Homestead Rescue and tbh whoever sold a herd of bison to two city people who wanted to get into homesteading is an asshole and lucky that no one's been killed
