My quibble with the Election Day holiday is the importance of primaries, caucuses, special elections, runoffs, all the non-Election Day votes! But I don't think a holiday hurts. And I hope if more people vote on November E-day every 2-4 years, and it's easy, they'll consider these other votes too.
My vision is national Anti-gerrymandering. A right to easy and free ID, right to absentee or mail voting, right to quick and close voting. Right to early voting. National election day holiday? Right for felons to vote after serving their time.
