What interests me about this though is!! You can build a furry companion android and let it evolve personality naturally,
but one based off of a fleshed out pony is a much more complicated course. Would clone AppleJack resent you? Probably yes.

I’m sure I’m not the first person to ever philosophize about this, there is no Buzz and there never was a real Buzz they can choose to assume that role. But it’s not quite the same as say, an Elvis impersonator, whom during their act truly believes they are some version of the real authentic deal.
In Toy Story they’re all like “but I’m not the real Buzz Lightyear”
This actually has some huge implications for the idea of self in general?
ie:
If one where to build a Twilight Sparkle pony-android, it would never be the real TS because she isn’t real 🥲
