Richtigstellung: Dieser Post konnte so gelesen werden, dass Friedrich Merz sein Pausenbrot und seine Schuhe an Donald Trump abgibt. Ich bedauere diesen Eindruck. Merz überreicht selbstverständlich unser Pausenbrot und unsere Schuhe. Seine behält er.
Eine Beschwichtigungspolitik, die präventiv zurückweicht, erzeugt keine Stabilität, sondern lädt zur nächsten Grenzüberschreitung ein. Der Schulhofschläger, dem du jeden Morgen freiwillig dein Pausenbrot gibst, lernt nur, dass er morgen auch noch deine Schuhe fordern kann.
