Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has finally confirmed that his party would cut support for many claimants of disability benefits if it won power at the next general election, with the cuts focusing on those he claims do not “genuinely deserve help”.

And it's going to be even worse when Starmer is licking Trump's boots in Windsor next week.

One million views and counting. The right wing is now instigating their full coup to seize power. If you thought the trump junta couldn't get any worse, guess again. Stay safe, people.

Trump has even roped in his buddy Starmer to comment on the shooting of a right-wing hate preacher to distract from Epstein files....

No other party says the basic truth: migration is good for Britain.

The real problem? Inequality, soaring bills, underfunded public services.

That’s driven by the greed of the super rich and the Labour government who serve them - not by migrants.

This is grim reading. The more right wing Farage gets, the higher Reform goes in the polls. The more Labour tries to emulate Reform, the lower they go in the polls. This does not bode well for our future. Labour are handing Downing St to Farage.

How come they show Green, Labour, Lib Dem, Tories, and Reform, but not SNP, or Plaid, or the DUP?
Labour voters are now as likely to see the Greens favourably as the Labour Party

Among 2024 Labour voters
Greens: 61% favourable (-1 from 13-14 Apr)
Labour: 59% (-7)
Lib Dems: 54% (-1)
Reform UK: 18% (+9)
Conservatives: 6% (+2)

Well I seem to be the target of all Labour’s hatred!
I’m a pensioner, I’m disabled and my mother is in care.
I’ve worked my whole life and thought the Tories were bad. Now Labour seem to be aiming for top villain position.

Read this thread, from a heroic American under attack from an unhinged billionaire
Elon, here you go again making false and completely unfounded accusations without providing any specifics. That’s the kind of response one would expect from a conspiracy theorist. What oligarch? What treason?

1/IMPORTANT thread about Bluesky funding and origins. Many folks know that it was seeded by Jack Dorsey around a libertarian vision of a magical network that wouldn’t need moderation because it would be decentralized and baked into a protocol (somehow).

Has Labour learned anything from the recent US election? If Labour doesn't change their messaging very soon, we'll have a UK version of Trump in Downing St.

It's unbelievable that we even need to have a conversation about vaccines.

A gentle reminder to UK people laughing at the US for voting in a populist regime: If you combine all the Reform and Tory votes together into populist party, that party would win.
This type of right-wing populism will sweep UK elections in 2029.
We're making the same mistakes the Democrats made...

Remember when there were all those court cases and prosecutions that meant Trump was going to prison? Those were fun times. Can't believe they never amounted to anything.

Movies that traumatised our childhoods: "A Boy Ten Feet Tall" aka "Sammy Going South".
One of my first cinema experiences:

the first 15 minutes sees a young boy's 1) parents killed 2) attacked by neighbors 3) thrown off a bus in the desert 4) chained to a corpse - all in Cinemascope splendour.

Be careful with those starter packs. If you choose the wrong one you'll fill your feed with a bunch of people you don't know all excitedly talking amongst themselves about stuff you don't understand, like being invited to a grad school party filled with students of a subject you never studied.

While I can certainly understand the attraction, I can't help but feel bluesky is just creating another echo chamber where we withdraw further away from the mainstream. While we surround ourselves with like minded people, we lose touch with the horror of actual mainstream public opinion in society.
