1st draft energy: didn’t feel like writing a whole scene so after setting the stage, I wrote the important dialogue snippets, the plot things that had to be addressed, and character relationships- then moved on.

Is it possible for a character to lie by omission for half the book and still be liked at the end?
He's lying because he's afraid of losing his best friend and ashamed of the awful thing he did.
By the end- he has to take accountability but I don't like that he lies. It's hard.

Since Alabama and apparently Iowa want to say Embryos are legally children now... can they be declared as dependents on state taxes?
