On a social media break.
Teenage me who danced and sang to The All American Rejects in her room all the time is absolutely rejoicing in this moment.

I wonder how many times I see ads for products that were created to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.

I can tell last month was rough because I didn’t read a single book outside of teaching. This month should be better since I have fewer responsibilities, but first, I am going to finish this school day and take a nap.

I’m a mood reader, for sure, but now, I’m wondering, is there such a thing as a mood writer? Like, I’m over here trying to write this fun little fantasy adventure, but my mind is like, no, today, is for dark fantasy.

“Quick, quick
Tell me something awful
Like you are a poet trapped inside the body of a finance guy” -Taylor Swift (The number of times I’ve listened to this song today is probably not a good sign.)

Not bad for being busy half the month and sick the other half. 💙📚

I finished in time! It was fun, and I liked the relationships between the adult characters. Parts of it were really heartwarming, and I liked how the main conflict resolved. But, there was one thing that really irked me, spoiler thoughts on that in the comments. 💙📚
I’m trying to read as fast as possible because my book club is tomorrow, and I procrastinated because when I have to read a book, I suddenly don’t want to, even though it’s literally a book I had already wanted to read. Anyway, it’s good so far. 💙📚

I just finished The Devil Wears Tartan by Katia Rose. It’s a sapphic enemies to lovers romance about dancers who grew up as rivals in Canadian Scottish Highland dance competitions. It was an enjoyable read that explores how trauma and the need for self acceptance impact their relationship. 💙📚🌶️

It’s spring break, and I was looking forward to hiking and bookstores and a museum day, but I’ve been sick for over a week. At least, I’m feeling better enough to catch up on reading.
