Musk has sicced his followers on the WSJ writer who reported on a DOGE staffer’s racist online, history demanding her firing. This is a tactic Silicon Valley’s neoreactionaries have been advocating for years: Pick a reporter, dox and harrass, make an example of them, make everyone else afraid.

On Jan. 20, 2021, I went for a morning run and saw this bit of celebratory wonderfulness in the ‘hood. When I got home, I cleaned up and watched the inauguration with some friends…virtually because COVID. Tomorrow I won’t be running (bad knee), there will be no flowers, and no, I’m not watching.

PSA to my friends in California near the fires: breathing in wildfire smoke is really bad for you (even if it’s not super thick where you are) but if you have face masks (N95, KN95, etc) those can help a lot

I’ve always known that my longtime friend @jacobtlevy.bsky.social is better read than me, but I’m very smart. So the fact that I had to look up the word “mote” after I read this post is next level humbling. 😄 Regardless, I agree with him 100%.
It’s not just that everybody has a “here’s why the election results show I was right all along” take. It’s that everyone can see the confirmation bias mote in the other guy’s eye when *they* post such a take.
