They should remake the 2000 classic "Battle Royale" but make it take place in 2025 America for no reason and have a part of the scene where it's being explained to the class where one of the kids turns to the other and mutters "it's just like Fortnite"

In any work of any medium that has gives any major focus to writing it is always the thing I care about the most. If video games have a story above set dressing they are almost by default *about* the story to my brain and my enjoyment hinges on it like 80%

There are some things about Yakuza 7's ending I honestly don't like but 8 recontextualizes it in a way that makes it a bit easier to swallow (turns it into a stepping stone in the themes rather than the conclusion)

Sometimes I wonder if average cis people can sense the malice, condescension, and contempt of this language the way trans people do
1. It would appear that in recent reporting, the BBC is now using the phrase "biological male who identifies as a woman" when they mean to talk about a transgender woman.
This is an incredibly demeaning way to talk about transgender women in news pieces.
