the kindest thing ill say about lonny's gaping wound grudges that he openly projects onto others is he is fundamentally unable to grasp that his opinion means anything to the people around him. that it might actually impact them emotionally to be disliked, not just because its unpleasant in general-

wol protagonism moments tend to be very hit or miss for me on lonny. the real deciding factor tends to be how hard they decide to drill down on you being Such a Noble Hero and So Selfless and Inspiring because. um. well.

this fandom tends to gravitate towards expacs that really lift up the wol as the Protagonist which is why its actually a little interesting to me that hvw is so beloved because its the point where your wol genuinely feels the most extraneous to the plot to me
