Whenever I have this fantasy (and it’s pretty often), I get stuck at the part where I would have to clean/organize my house for days before getting hit, on the likely chance that my mom would come to help my husband during my convalescence. Ends up not being worth it!
My moms’ group chat always talks about how great it would be to be gently run over by a car so we could go to the hospital and relax for a few days.
when i worked at a grocery store i used to fantasize getting hit by a car while i was collecting shopping carts as a way to get out of working for maybe 1-2 days

Not a great video but these babies in my holly bush are my favorite thing. Hatched on Mother’s Day! I watched as mama made the nest, day after day. Laid an egg, and then another and another. Sat on them day after day. First egg didn’t survive and she removed it and then these two lovelies are here!

What sucks is that these devices have tremendous value for people with disabilities. Voice commands and touchless automation are so helpful for people with mobility issues. Restricting their ability to protect their privacy is unconscionable.

I keep thinking about what I was feeling in March 2020 and what I’m feeling in March 2025. Trying to assess which one feels worse. Life in the early days of Covid was terrifying.. would we live, would our loved ones live? Were we putting others at risk if we got too close? cont..

Everything has felt pretty bleak this week (this month). I’m irritable, I’m antsy. I haven’t taken a walk in a week. I needed to take my worries to the water. The crows sounded surprised to see me. The water restores my soul.
