Had an idea for a new entry in the Alien franchise, Alien: Perth (this time, it’s in Australia), which sees a xenomorph going up against all the deadly Australian wildlife that’s already trying to kill you, such as platypuses (platypi?), punching kangaroos, those tiny venomous jellyfish, etc…

Ok! Mom now says she's had a bad taste in her mouth since yesterday, and it scares her. Implying maybe we'll need to get her emergency dental work instead of getting the power of attorney signed. Boss says tomorrow's 9am dept meeting is an important one we should all make an effort not to miss

Every promotional email I've received over the past few days claims the product is "GOING FAST," whether the product is cheap shoes, expensive earrings, whatever it is that Quince sells, or what have you. I'm starting to doubt the veracity of these emails!

Mom says she's "dreading" the appointment with the lawyer on Thursday, which is code for "I wish you'd cancel it." But quite honestly the best time to do this would have been 15 years ago, and the next best time is exactly now

Yes, I had all summer to get my boots resoled and still didn't do it, even though I kept them by the door the entire season so it would be easy to pick them up and take them to the storefront. It would still be SO MUCH EASIER to purchase a new pair online and have them delivered, which seems wrong

Postponed annual review finally happened and while the compensation talk is a completely different call to be had sometime in Dec, they thank me for being "calm in crisis," "consistently delivering good work," and offering "practical and actionable solutions." Would not be surprised to be canned
