We were in middle/high school in 1999 when Columbine taught us we weren’t safe from gun violence at school.
In 2004, we watched Republicans giddily allow Clinton’s 1994 assault weapons ban expire—gas on the fire.

We almost certainly know the shooter’s gender.
As always, we don’t yet know the identity of the shooter or the motivation for the massacre but we *do* know it involved one of the millions of guns that are drowning this country.
