Yes, how dare one cast a Black woman as Helen of Troy when the, uh, historical record shows that she was the daughter of Leda of Sparta and the supreme deity Zeus disguised as a swan, and was born from one of two *eggs*. Greek mythology is really strict that way. Also: no ancient PoC. Obviously.

It’s cold outside this weekend so I really want a nice big bowl of Phở. But to get some decent Phở, I would have to drive 45 minutes. To get really good Phở, at least 2 hours.
Funny thing is that back in Vietnam my husband ate Phở or rather the spicier Bún bò Huế when it was really hot and humid.

One of the biggest flaws of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman is that it spends a lot of time establishing how racist, misogynistic, & ableist most of the townspeople are, and then it occasionally wants us to care about them. No, Hank & Jake especially can die for all I care. They are steaming piles of shit.
