James Till, along with his collaborator Ernest McCulloch, laid the groundwork for today's #regenmed researchers through their discovery of stem cells in the 1960s. We are grateful for his work and its enduring impact on the health of all people around the world.
UHN marks the passing of Dr. James Till, whose work with Dr. Ernest McCulloch first demonstrated the existence of blood-forming stem cells in 1961 at Ontario Cancer Institute, now Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
