⚓️ We had a (conditional) baptism this morning… young man who grew up non-denom, baptized according to Acts 2:38, very uncertain about whether his baptism was valid. One of the very few instances I agree with “rebaptism” though I think this was mainly about removing scruples and ambiguity

Had my first actual disciplinary issue with my son (5) at school today. Throwing rocks, not listening to teachers, pinching/hitting classmates. Was livid. Didn’t yell, didn’t spank. On one hand, feeling glad I didn’t lose my cool. OTOH really hoping our boundary setting and bad consequences work

⚓️Urgent prayer request - my last surviving grand has been in hospital and then rehab for pneumonia for the past several weeks. Today they were readmitted to the hospital for pneumonia after their vitals went in a bad direction.

urgent prayers please - my father in law and his partner are currently under a level 2 evacuation alert for a forest fire very close to them that's been growing all evening. they have bags packed and a place to go if the evacuation is called but it feels very scary going to bed right now, uncertain

My cousin’s youngest child who has been in and out (but mostly in) the hospital since basically the day they were born due to a heart defect just had a successful transplant surgery!

As an update, ICE seems to have been tagging along on a Federal investigation into money laundering and fraud by an individual who used to own several restaurants in the area. They rounded up 40 restaurant workers unrelated to the alleged criminal activity.
⚓️ICE is raiding in my hometown. I’m torn by the desire to Do Something but also not wanting to leave my wife and child potentially on their own if I get in trouble. And recognizing I have the privilege of even having a choice to act. Please pray for me to have wisdom, discernment, and Xian courage.
