Emails obtained by WaPo show that DHS has drafted plans to cut the FEMA workforce by 41%, or 4,300 positions, in 2026. Anyone pretending this is new hasn’t been paying attention, and anyone pretending this won’t be an ultimate disaster is lying or mistaken.
