The only way we’ll ever get rid of the Electoral College is if a Republican candidate wins the popular vote but loses the electoral college vote. So there’s some small part of me that would find that bemusing but/and/also I fear it would also unleash hell.

That this race is a toss up is such a damning indictment of this country. One candidate is openly promising authoritarianism and now explicitly brays for blood. The other is a moderate, conventional Democrat.
