I didn’t pay attention to Charlie Kirk at all, but I can understand why the right thinks that he’s their Archduke Ferdinand. But their calls for Civil War with the left have nothing to do with the left at all.

We can be morally outraged by an assassination and at the same time acknowledge that Charlie Kirk’s racism and misogyny were immoral. Whitewashing his behavior and beliefs betrays the collective by masking how we got to this place in America.

After watching dozens of ICE raid/arrest videos it's clear how smartphones change the dynamics in these situations: It's why faces are covered, why operations are fast-in/fast-out, and in many cases why agents show restraint.
