We're horrified to hear the news of this attack today, especially on Yom Kippur. Our thoughts are with the victims of today's attack and Manchester's Jewish community. Manchester is no place for hate, and we stand united against it.
Horrified and appalled by the attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

My thoughts are with the victims, our brave emergency services and the entire Jewish community.

Vote Libdem for lived experience! In Manchester we are the ones who get what needs to be done, and I’m so excited to be building a team that actually represents what needs to change in Manchester 💕💕💕

Exciting local Libdem news! Returned for #Withington ward on 100% of ballot but more excitedly we have recruited Tracey Pooks for neighbouring ward #OldMoat.

Tracey is a community legend and fellow single mum, working class lass ready to speak truth to power.

And then some💪🏻

Absolutely thrilled😍

So far these elections are saying that where the Lib Dems have the capacity to fight, we do and we can win. But we don't have the capacity to fight everywhere (and can't rely on the media). If in 2026 you don't want to see a repeat of the rise of Reform in Manchester, now's the time to join us.

Disappointed to see that today in council Manchester Labour defended their motion that criticised the tactics of BDS activists in the city centre, rejecting a Lib Dem amendment to remove the criticism, whilst protect workers from harassment.

In council yesterday, I asked for an update on what the council is doing to support refugees who are ending up in Manchester and sleeping homeless. I'm pleased to hear that funding has been provided to Mustard Tree to support getting them into homes...

I hate to say "we told you so" but we've long pointed out that this scheme made no sense, it's a new fossil fuel powered power station right in the city centre.
The latest on the Manchester Energy Network: Bosses admit 'mistakes were made' on the £24m project, which has lost £1.3m in two years, and not helped meet net zero targets www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater...

I have finally been given a date for the Great Ancoats Street crossing to be finally completed and brought into use - Tuesday 19th November. It's taken far too long to complete this crossing, especially as back in February the council thought it had already been completed.
