What is your favorite song over 10 minutes long?

I’m disqualifying stuff without words.

But still. So hard. I mean, how do I not say “45:33?” Or “Pneuma” by Tool? Or basically any of the live versions of “In Your Eyes?” Or a dozen other things?

But. I think there’s actually a correct answer.

Quote with a movie you’d rate a perfect 10/10.

One. Hundred. Percent.
As the world burns, let's get one thing straight. A video podcast is just a TV show.

Been reading this over and over and can't for the life of me understand what he's even trying to say. This is a lot of words to say... nothing.

Those movies are both comedies, though, so …

The problem with watching playoff football on Prime Video is that it’s too complicated to change the “channel” during the commercials.

A thing that I think about sometimes is that the current president has said — out loud, in public — that there are too MANY holidays.
we need legislation that if new year’s falls on a thursday, friday is also a holiday. new year’s day part ii.

I agree with pretty much every word of this.

The Force Awakens is a GREAT Star Wars movie — even if it's a super derivative Star Wars movie.

And I'll just add that The Force Awakens teaser (which isn't what's embedded in this article) is among the greatest trailers ever made.
I wrote about THE FORCE AWAKENS for its 10th anniversary over at @inverse.com (man, time flies), remembering when Star Wars still felt special and how J.J. Abrams' franchise revival has always been more subversive and thoughtful than given credit for:

It’s a few years ago that I realized Turner Classic Movies is my favorite television station by a wide margin. Who even knew that having a favorite TV station is a thing?

But this is exactly why.
TCM has always been so good about this sort of thing. They've had me practically weeping over stars whose movies I'd never even seen. The respect for the art as well as the artisans is so built into their entire brand and culture
We say goodbye to actor, filmmaker and activist Rob Reiner.

A dedicated storyteller with sincerity that imbued his prolific work and the causes he believed in, Reiner’s heartfelt portrayal of the human condition reminds us of the power of film and its abilities to stay with us.

Rob Reiner is also basically the reason the phrase “bucket list” exists.

(This seems crazy now, but it comes from that movie. Screenwriter Justin Zackham coined it.)
The first decade of Rob Reiner’s career as a director is somewhere among the best decades by any director ever.

Stand by Me
The Princess Bride
When Harry Met Sally…
Misery
A Few Good Men

(Those last five right in a row.)

I honestly can’t imagine why anyone would go back to Twitter.
Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

They are literally begging regular people to come back. Don't do it! It is a website by and for actual Nazis!

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars or Trek), LOTR, or Marvel.

(The list of movies I’ve seen more than six times is LONG, and it includes zero Star Treks, LOTRs, or Marvels. So not really that hard, but hey.)

The Paul Dano take is nonsense, but this is a fun list!

1. Black Hawk Down
2. Toy Story 3
3. Lost in Translation
4. Dunkirk
5. There Will Be Blood
6. Zodiac
7. Unstoppable
8. Mad Max: Fury Road
9. Shaun of the Dead
10. Midnight in Paris

You don’t get a lot of content from me about movies I think are bad. I try to avoid the whole yucking of the other folks’ yums and all that.

But there are exceptions.
Seconded 100%. It’s one of the very worst movies I’ve ever seen in a theater. It’s 25 years later, and I still regret not walking out.

It’s hard for me to fathom that anyone still watches this movie, especially considering that both of the other versions exist.

We are now further away from the theatrical release of Raiders of the Lost Ark (June 12, 1981) than it was from the year it takes place in (1936). We have reached the Indiana Jones event horizon.
