Did you know that fevers in early pregnancy also cause genetic mutations in fetuses and resulting developmental abnormalities? Know how we treat and prevent that? Yeah, Tylenol.

Area small-c conservatives who spent a generation screaming about their taxes and living in suburbia are astonished that European city centres are not in the same state of urban decay that ours are and can't quite figure out why.

The way the NCC has reversed decades of poor public opinion with a few relatively low cost, quick turnaround public projects is incredible. It should be studied, and replicated.

Part of Kent Street is up for renewal, and the City of Ottawa is refusing to bury the power lines, saying it’s too expensive.

Just Kent Street brings in as much property taxes as the entire West Carleton-March Ward.

Our city needs to do a better job of rewarding financially productive communities.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

During the pandemic, downtown parks were a sea of picnic blankets with people hanging out and yes, enjoying the odd beer. The sky did not fall. People in Centretown are among the least likely in Ottawa to have access to back yards or even balconies.

Alcoholic beverages will be allowed in select Ottawa parks this summer
Parkgoers could be able to enjoy a cold alcoholic beverage in Ottawa’s parks this summer, with councillors and residents allowed to choose parks where beer, wine and coolers can be enjoyed.
