Let's call "Rooseveltism" or "The American Deal" the values enacted in policy that allow Capitalism to be used in our society. It isn't "Socialism vs Capitalism." Capitalism doesn't exist without guardrails because it would destroy society. These policies make The American Dream possible!
Russia is the enemy of the US and Europe. Also, our children in the US need the Dept. of Ed. and Medicaid. US citizens need Medicare and Social Security. These are rites we have as US citizens. The top "1%" owe their power/wealth to the US for providing the opportunity.

Work has had me completely occupied recently, but the Trump regime has continued on the trajectory that we anticipated. They are attempting a complete take-over to end our democracy. As some patriotic protestors have said:

Our children are still in the house. Stop trying to burn it down!!!

The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents 800,000+ federal and D.C. workers (i.e. people directly impacted by a government shutdown), is urging senators to vote no on the House GOP's CR.

In other words, AFGE is saying a government shutdown is less bad than this GOP bill.

@maddow.msnbc.com Great show as always! When presenting polling numbers, you present colored bars. Could those bars represent the numbers like a histogram? It seems like a missed opportunity as so much public opinion is really strikingly against the Trump Admin policies.

Perhaps Lankford could let his state’s Senator know so that he can stop kowtowing to Trump and Elon who keep firing everyone.

I saw “this is not normal” signs at Trump’s speech to joint session of Congress, but Dems holding them don’t understand what it means. Otherwise, they would have been thrown out with Al Green.

The destruction of our government and Constitution is “not normal,” so normal “decorum” does not apply!

Trump's in full retreat today as his poll numbers slip:

He convened the cabinet to limit Elon after voters pressured Congress.

He delayed the tariffs b/c the market dropped out & created fears of a recession.

He's losing in court b/c DOGE didn't follow the law.

Keep fighting.

Trump admin could do better job at downsizing if they valued a functional government. Outright destruction is apparent goal. Question is, why give up so easily? Could Project2025 just be another diversion from main goal of tax break for rich at expense of social security, Medicare/caid. Deplorable

NEW: A now-deleted list containing hundreds of US government properties that the General Services Administration (GSA) plans to sell includes most of a sprawling, highly sensitive federal complex in Springfield, Virginia that also houses a secretive CIA facility, WIRED has learned.
A Sensitive Complex Housing a CIA Facility Was on GSA's List of US Properties for Sale
Plans to redevelop a Northern Virginia warehouse site have long been complicated by the area’s worst-kept secret—the presence of a CIA facility. The GSA put the site up for sale anyway.
