Another fascist shot up a local school today. Our historically fascist government didn't prevent it, why would they? But calls are already coming out to push gun control and further disarm the people that need protection the most. It's disgraceful.

Organizing something small and chill and not political on the surface is how to build community and talk to people, which are the two things we need most to do any type of other action. Make a children's book club, truly anything counts.
Organizing is the way forward
If you've never personally participated in organizing, now is the time to start. Do something smaller, lower stakes, to start with. Organize a block party or neighborhood activity, charity bake sale. Crucially, learn to organize alongside people you do not know well.

Organize. Organize. Organize. Ask you friends if they have a plan for power outages, food shortages, goon squads. If they don't have a plan, make a plan with them and coordinate resources. Then ask more of your friends. Meet regularly and go for a run, trade recipes, swap gear you dont need.
We need to immediately come to terms with the fact that we are on our own.
The federal government is being dismantled, and should not be expected to provide support or resources for any future disaster or emergency.
