It's the same in Finland. Right and even more right government parties try to blame the poor and claim abuses but there are almost none, it's ALREADY *very* tightly controlled - it's not easy to get the most last-resort social security and even your bank accounts are checked.

There was a serious study into this and the researchers concluded that UNDERUSE of social security is more harmful to society, mostly because people already in a vulnerable position get less help and problems cascade. The whole poor-blaming is absolute smokescreen, not supported by anything real.
