I think I just quit writing. Again.
Change happens, even if it seems too slow against the corrupt fascists, but it happens. This is the break we needed during these horrific times. I feel less crazy and exhausted that someone who believes in diversity, equality, and humanistic principles was actually voted into office.
"Here we believe in standing up for those we love, whether you are an immigrant, a member of the trans community, one of the many black women Trump has fired, a single mom waiting for the cost of groceries to go down, or anyone else with your back against the wall. Your struggle is ours too."

The thing with #Persona4Golden is that Nanako & Dojima, are there in the background, easy to put off leveling up until they’re not. Then you feel lost without them. Same with the theme song. It plays, & then at a critical time, an emotional arrangement of it plays & it destroys you. #P4G

Everything is horrible, but I finished writing a story, submitted it. Submitted my unagented novella, too. Bannable works, but we need to keep voicing our defiance. Art is powerful, threatening to the establishment. We endure because art endures.

I’ve finally finished revising my novella. Taking a break before I write new material. In the meantime, I’m reading Carlo Rovelli’s Anaximander, painting, marinating ideas, and living. The reward of writing IS writing and learning through the process, not some imagined recognition or publication.

I’m so glad I got got rid of Hulu six months ago. ABC cancelled Jimmy Kimmel, cancel Hulu, ESPN and Disney. That’s the appropriate response to that. Cancel culture goes both ways. Can’t allow an evil conglomerate to win against the people it’s extracting from.
